How To Text Review Requests w/ Photos

I’ve been texting my customers review requests with photos as a means to elevate my review conversion percentage. This blog post outlines how you can do the same thing by taking advantage of your phone’s standard features.

Texting a review request with a photo is an effective review strategy because:

  • The photo exceeds the customer’s expectations and reminds them of how much fun they had
  • Texts are opened 13x more frequently then emails, especially ones with photos
  • You’re making it easy for them to share that photo on social media, creating organic impressions

There are two ways to automatically text a photo with a review request.

iPhone

Step 1: Create your text shortcut.

  • Go to settings > general > keyboard
  • Click on text replacement
  • Click on the + button in the top right
  • Put your thank you message and review request with your ReviewTrigger funnel URL in the phrase box – for example mine will be: “Thanks for pedaling with us, we would love if you left us a quick review – they’re so important for our small business http://quickreviews.co/r/24”
  • Put your short cut text string into the shortcut box – for example mine will be: “nash”
  • Now when I send a text and I type “nash” my thank you and review request will show up

Step 2: Send a text message to your customer, and add a photo to elevate conversion percentage

Android

Step 1: Create your text shortcut.

  • Go to settings > language and input > personal dictionary
  • Click on the + button in the top right
  • Put your shortcut text string that will trigger the message – for example mine will be: “nash”
  • In the next line type the message you want to appear – for example mine will be: “Thanks for pedaling with us, we would love if you left us a quick review – they’re so important for our small business http://quickreviews.co/r/24”
  • Now when I send a text and I type “nash” my thank you and review request will show up

Step 2: Send a text message to your customer, and add a photo to elevate conversion percentage
